The Editor-in-Chief is Athol Kent, an Oxford-trained O&G consultant clinician with an MPhil in Medical Education. Dr. Kent is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
He has edited the journal since its inception in 1995. He is an internationally renowned medical educator, and was awarded the FCOG (SA) degree “ad Eundem” for his services to Medical Education in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
He has been an invited speaker at numerous prestigious international O&G and medical education conferences.
He has published widely, and is a regular contributor to the BJOG – An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr. Kent’s own particular interest is feto-maternal medicine and he is a strong proponent of evidence-based medicine.
